PROJECT MANAGER – CONSTRUCTION – MILLWORK

Large Architectural Woodwork and custom commercial casework contractor is looking for a two (2) Project Managers. Prior MILLWORK EXPERIENCE A MUST! The position includes the following responsibilities:

You will be responsible for leading a team of individuals on different multi-million dollar projects.
Complete responsibility for the profitability and success of the projects for which you are responsible.
You will work with the estimators to complete a project turnover to operations and establish a cost budget for the project.
You will manage the submittal process, and develop a relationship with the customers to ensure that the project runs smoothly.
You will also update cost projections for the project as necessary, and provide a weekly update to the operations manager as to the project status, problems, challenges, and needs.
You will establish pricing for the project scope changes, and identify and communicate project impacts to the customers.
You will manage the project, and communicate all issues to the customers immediately.
You will ensure that the key material delivery schedules are met, the project stays on schedule and under budget, and that the closeout documentation is sent to the customers.
Multi site management a must.

Job Experience:
Bachelor of Science degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or Equivalent.
Qualified applicants must have 5 + years of experience.
A proven track record in Architectural Millwork is required.
Design Build experience and government contracts a plus.
A good driving record is mandatory.
Qualified applicants must have excellent oral and written communication skills.
Individuals must have exceptional time management skills.
Applicants must be motivated, independent thinkers.
Individuals must be able to read and analyze blue prints.
Applicants must have good “attention-to-detail” skills.
Qualified individuals must have good computer skills.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $33.00 – $66.00 per hour

Architectural Importer is looking for a full-time Assistant Estimator/Project Manager. We are seeking an assistant with experience in construction. The ability to deal with deadlines and create several estimates simultaneously is a must. The position includes the following responsibilities:

Kitchen and bathroom industry experience a plus.

We are a national import company (Kitchens, Baths, and Hotel Furniture) currently looking for a Construction Estimator. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and/or reviewing construction cost estimates for all engineering disciplines for accuracy, completeness, and adherence to special work requirements. Will be reviewing architectural drawings of hi-rise residential buildings and hotels. Background/experience in residential kitchen/bath design is desirable. The ideal candidate will interact with US clients and Chinese vendors to provide proposals for large projects in the US and abroad.

CABINET MAKER

AllCraft Manufacturing is an Architectural Millwork shop fabricating high end millwork and plastic laminate cabinetry. We are looking for a talented millwork carpenter to join our team. Our company is committed to manufacturing a high quality product.

Responsibilities:
Fabricate fixtures, displays and furnishings from a variety of materials.
Operate a variety of woodworking machines and uses of various hand tools to fabricate and construct custom millwork cabinets, counter tops, displays, and showcases.
Work with hardwoods, composites, laminates, veneers, hardware, and other materials.
Observes, follows, and practices all safety procedures to maintain a safe work environment.

Requirements:
Experience in high end millwork cabinets, wall panel and trim. Veneer, hardwood manufacturing, miter folding, and joinery.
Ability to read and follow blueprints.
Able to work overtime when required.
Quick, efficient work without sacrificing quality.
Ability to work positively in a team environment.

PRECONSTRUCTION ENGINEER

The Preconstruction Engineers (PCE) role is to assist the Director of Preconstruction, Project Executive, and other operations staff members with preconstruction pursuits from drywall, ceiling, millwork, and other carpentry related budgets. PCE will primarily be responsible for reviewing Contract Drawings and Bid Documents in Quick Bid/OST. Scope verification, analyzing, and leveling quotes from vendors and subcontractors. Reviewing approval submittals and updating budgets accordingly.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
Education: BS in Construction Management or related engineering discipline preferred
Experience: Estimating, Project Management, or Field experience preferred

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:
Review contract documents and verify takeoff / scope accuracy being turned over from estimating department
Review contract documents and specifications and verify scope items have appropriate costs
Responsible for organization of digital preconstruction project folder, document organization
Identify and solicit the appropriate subcontractors for various preconstruction pursuits and insure adequate subcontractor coverage in each scope of work
Communicate with subcontractors regarding involvement / interest in preconstruction pursuits and diligently follow up to review project scope and pricing
Review specifications and prepare appropriate submittals for scope of work
Prepare and distribute complete bid packages for subcontractors and vendors to provide quotations, follow up to completion
Draft new details as requested

SYSTEMS KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS:
Preconstruction Engineer must become proficient in and be capable of training other employees in the use and execution of the following systems:
Onscreen and Quickbid software for digital takeoff a must
Microsoft Office Suite, Excel, Word, Outlook
Microsoft Project scheduling software as plus
Subcontractor/Vendor bid pricing review and comprehension
AUTO-CAD/Sketchup a plus
