Started in 1906, Donaldson is in its fourth generation, and we see many more generations ahead of us. In order to make sure the environment will support these future generations, we as a corporation have wrapped our arms around the ideas of sustainability. To be sustainable, development must improve economic efficiency, protect and restore ecological systems, and enhance the wellbeing of people. The U.S. Green Building Council developed a system of guidelines and goals that have evolved into the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (”LEED”) rating system. LEED was created to promote integrated, whole building design practices and to recognize environmental leadership in the building industry. To this end, The Donaldson Organization has two LEED Accredited Professionals on staff to work with our clients. With their knowledge of green building practice required for successful implementation of the LEED green building rating system, they can assist our clients to achieve the level of certification they desire. With the combination of green building practices and Donaldson’s ability to produce awe-inspiring work, our clients receive projects pleasing both to the eye and the environment. Donaldson and their two LEED Accredited Professionals realize that green building is today’s agenda, not a far off goal. We at Donaldson will “Reach Higher” to that agenda, so that our future generation will know the wonderful world that we know.
